10am-12pm Family Success Center The Family Success Center helps low-income families further their education and acquire the skills necessary to secure and maintain sustainable employment and improve their overall well-being. Help create a shopping experience for guests by organizing donated clothes. so donated clothes feel like new.  Sign up here.

Ongoing Volunteer Needs for Individuals

Senior Resources Deliver Meals to Seniors. Many local seniors are homebound and struggle to obtain healthy meals. Hundreds have no one to talk with or check on them on a regular basis. When volunteers come to the door with a hot meal Monday through Friday, the food and visit help these seniors stay healthy and independent longer. Sign up here.

 Operation Xcel Mentors needed for school children. Make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and their families by helping to tutor students. Unite and Volunteer for Juneteenth

United Way of Greater Greensboro is excited to partner this year with Greensboro Juneteenth Fest. We will be hosting a table at the Black Food Truck Festival on June 15th. Volunteer shifts are from 3pm-7pm. We are looking for volunteers interested in sharing information on how someone can make a difference in a child’s life by becoming a mentor and to learn more about the United Way. Help distribute flyers to attendees, set up and man a table, and talk to people inquiring. Come volunteer and enjoy some food!

Blooming Together: Volunteer to Help Beautify the Gardens for Refugees

One of United Way of Greater Greensboro’s Strategic Partners, New Arrivals Institute, assists refugees and immigrants from all over the world to become self-sufficient and US Citizens through education. They have an on-site community garden and need volunteer help. JUNETEENTH/DAY OF ACTION, JUNE 15

On June 15th, join thousands of people across the world volunteering on United Way’s annual Day of Action.

MEANINGFULL MEALS, JULY

Many local students qualify for free or reduced price lunch. In the summer, many children often do not have the same access to a nutritious meal and go hungry. Be part of the solution and support MeaningFULL meals in July 2024.

TRUNK-OR-TREAT, OCTOBER

Join thousands of local children and families in United Way’s parking lot, which will be filled with decorated vehicles with their trunks open handing out candy, supplies, and so much more. You can volunteer to help support this event, hold a candy or supply drive, or volunteer to host a trunk!
