Public is invited to attend presentation by NC Budget & Tax Center and NC Justice Center
on State Budget, Economic Forecast, and Issues Affecting Our Community on November 17

On November 17, the United Ways of Greater Greensboro, Greater High Point, and Forsyth County are partnering to bring a Legislative Briefing to the Triad. The program will focus on the impact of the economy on the non-profit sector and on working families, with a strong emphasis on health and human service and education programs. The North Carolina Budget & Tax Center will provide an update on the state budget.

Legislators from across the Triad have been invited to participate and several have already accepted the invitation. The recent election is expected to produce interesting and thought-provoking discussions and questions at this event.

The event will be held on Wednesday, November 17 from 10 am until noon at Cross Company, 4400 Piedmont Parkway, in Greensboro. The public is also invited to attend.
