Pearl Donors & Legacy Society
Pearl Donors
United Way recognizes and celebrates loyalty and generosity by recognizing people who have contributed to United Way for 25 years as Pearl Donors. United Way is deeply grateful for the loyal support it receives from many of our donors.
United Way relies on donors’ willingness to make us aware of this wonderful accomplishment. If they have made gifts in 25 years (not necessarily consecutive and not necessarily to United Way of Greater Greensboro), we hope they will let us know. We would like to add them to our list of Pearl Donors!

Legacy Society
By contributing to our endowment fund, donors ensure that United Way can continue to serve those in need for years to come, beyond their lifetime. The Legacy Society is designed to celebrate those who endow their giving spirit and memory in perpetuity.
United Way’s endowment efforts unofficially began in the 1950’s with a generous gift from the Cone family and over the years has grown to a current total value of approximately $3.8 million dollars.
The Legacy Society exists to accommodate the wishes of individuals who make planned gifts to United Way of Greater Greensboro. A planned gift is deferred, meaning it is arranged now and fulfilled later, often according to bequests in wills. Joining the Legacy Society enables donors to continue their tradition of caring and prepares United Way to address the pressing problems yet to come.
We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about leaving your legacy in Greater Greensboro. Please contact the Vice President of Major Gifts at (336) 378-6607.
