After being laid off from a long-term role, she found herself navigating an uncertain job market. Despite her experience and education, securing a position at the level she was accustomed to proved difficult. The pressure to maintain consistent income for her family continued to grow.
At the Family Success Center, she worked closely with her coach to strengthen her approach– refining her resume, building her interviewing and networking skills, and connecting to new employment opportunities.
At a job fair, her coach introduced her to a recruiter from a local company.
Initially, she was interested in a customer service role and hesitant about considering roles outside of that. With encouragement and guidance, she took time to better understand the value of broader opportunities with added benefits, flexibility, and potential for growth.
With support from the FSC team, she moved forward—completing her application, securing an interview, and ultimately stepping into a new role.
Today, she is employed full-time, with benefits and a more flexible schedule that supports her family’s needs. Over the past two years, she has advanced within the company, including taking on new responsibilities and traveling for work—something she is especially proud of.
