Because of you, Rick’s mental illness is no longer keeping him in poverty. As an adult trying to build a career and provide for his needs, Rick found living with a mental illness made getting and maintaining a job extremely difficult.

Because of you, Boukari is working and lifting his family out of poverty. When Boukari immigrated to Greensboro from Niger, he arrived with a dream of succeeding in the land of opportunity. Despite a college degree and being a teacher, he quickly discovered he could not teach in the U.S. and needed additional skills.
