2 UNITED WAY OF GREATER GREENSBORO EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The future of Greensboro will be shaped by what we choose to build together. This year, we brought organizations closer together, strengthened partnerships across sectors, and invested in strategies to create lasting pathways for families working toward stability and opportunity. That success belongs to every partner, donor, volunteer, and neighbor who helped move this work forward. This is — and will always be — your United Way. Throughout 2024–2025, the goals outlined in our new three-year strategic plan helped sharpen our focus and amplify our impact. You can learn more about the plan on page 3, opposite. A major achievement this year was our continued progress toward our BOLD Goal of helping 3,000 households move beyond the federal poverty line by 2030. As of June 2025, 759 households have reached this milestone, and we remain on pace to surpass 1,000 households by year’s end. These numbers represent far more than progress toward a goal; they represent determination, partnership, and possibility for families across our community. The momentum we are seeing is a direct reflection of what can happen when Greensboro unites around a shared purpose. Partnerships remain at the heart of our success. We honored more than a decade of support from ITG Brands, whose legacy investment through Lorillard helped launch our African American Male Initiative and continues to fuel meaningful work today. We also celebrated a new, mission- aligned partnership with First Presbyterian Church, a reflection of growing engagement from faith communities who share our commitment to supporting local families. Each partnership, whether longstanding or just beginning, strengthens our united effort to address the root causes of poverty. We also made important strides in how our community experiences and understands our work. From advancing our brand refresh to preparing for the launch of a new website, we continue to build tools that help people see more clearly how United Way creates impact and how they can contribute. Looking ahead, our focus is unwavering. We will continue strengthening our Integrated Service Delivery model, educating our community on ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households, supporting our strategic partners, and leading with the urgency and unity required to end generational poverty in Greensboro. Poverty is relentless, but so are we. With the commitment of investors, volunteers, partners, and leaders across our community, we are building a future where every person has the opportunity to thrive. Thank you for being part of this mission. United Is The Way — forward, together. POVERTY IS A CYCLE WE MUST BREAK — AND WE KNOW WHAT IT TAKES. Frank McCain PRESIDENT & CEO Scott Baker BOARD CHAIR
