With help securing childcare—including specialized support for one of her children—she was able to return to school while managing responsibilities at home. At the same time, her spouse received job readiness and employment support, helping stabilize the household within just a few months.
Over the next two years, she remained focused and committed, earning a degree in Criminal Justice.
Along the way, she built financial skills—learning how to budget, access local food resources, and make the most of what her family had. Just as importantly, she gained confidence in how she presents herself professionally.
Today, she has served in a leadership role as a program director and continues to build on that experience as she moves forward in her career.
